Amaravati: Today, the AP Cabinet meeting is scheduled to take place at 11 AM. The meeting will focus on discussions regarding the Assembly budget sessions. The AP Cabinet is expected to approve the SIPB proposals. There will also be a discussion on the free bus services for women. Additionally, plans are being made to conduct the Assembly budget sessions after the 15th of this month. The Cabinet will also approve land allocations for industries that received approval in the Investment Promotion Council meeting. On January 30th, the state Investment Promotion Council meeting approved 15 projects, amounting to an investment of ₹44,776 crore, with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu giving the green light to these projects. These proposals will also be approved in the Cabinet meeting. One of the major projects includes a ₹14,328 crore, 2300 MW project by Navayuga Engineering Limited in Alluri District. Additionally, the Cabinet is likely to approve a ₹10,300 crore project by Megha Engineering in Annamayya District, a pumped storage project. Projects to be set up in Kakinada, Anantapur, Satyasai, and YSR districts are also expected to be approved.
Meanwhile, political temperatures are rising in AP. Nara Lokesh countered Y.S. Jagan’s comments by saying that people have still not recovered from Jagan 1.0. Yesterday, Y.S. Jagan had mentioned that people would soon see Jagan 2.0. He further explained how he would work for the welfare of the party workers. In response to Jagan's comments, Minister Nara Lokesh questioned where the freedom for people existed during Jagan's government and accused him of having killed many Dalits, minorities, and members of backward communities.
